Supernova's (L-R) Pat Cat, Zev, Ben, Pruett, Sam, Coen, Frankie -- Moose Knuckle

•Upon completion of this year's Red Bull Ice Break (see full story on Page 64), ESM's onsite reporter/ photog team of Dick Meseroll and Matt Pruett stuck around Nova Scotia, heeding Mike Nelson's infamous "Nelliecast" that another swell was on its way to the Great White North. They were joined by Jersey powerhouses Sam Hammer, Frank Walsh, and Ben McBrien, as well as LBI-based ESM contributing writer Jon Coen, Pat "Surf Cat" Emery, and Cambridge, MA's, Zev Gartner. The crew enjoyed a couple priceless days of solid surf and sight-seeing (the spots of which you couldn't extract from them with Chinese water torture), and mingling with some of Novi's finest blokes like Lance Moore, Buck Williams, Nico Manos, and Morgan Begg. A thousand thanks to our Canadian connection for their unmatched hospitality and warmth in one of the Eastern Seaboard's purest, most treasured seascapes.
